15- Minute Skincare Routine For Flawless Looking Skin

I remember one of my close friends preaching about not starting her makeup before doing her skincare first. She guided me through her 15 minutes natural skin care routine which I’m hooked on and I religiously follow every single day!

For me, it’s a self-care routine that I indulge in and happily recommend to all my friends. I just love it since it’s easy to get done and only takes 15 minutes. It leaves my skin feeling like a million bucks (with just using the basic products, my skin becomes super smooth, supple, and soft).

So let’s unfold this easy 15 minutes skincare routine and give our skin a shoot of hydration in no time. Shall we begin?

  1. Stay hydrated
    The first thing to do once you wake up is gulp down a glass of water before having your breakfast. 8 hours nightly nap is a long duration that your body goes on without consuming water. Having a glass of water first thing in the morning will rehydrate your body.
  1. Wash Your Face
    Before using any facial cleanser, you should first know your skin type and what suits your skin. Do you have dry, oily, sensitive, or combination skin type? If you're uncertain, consult your dermatologist. When you’ve settled on a cleanser that best works for you, rinse your face with water. This will help get rid of dust, oil, and toxins. This phase is crucial. Afterward, apply the natural face cleanser to your skin in circular motions and make sure you massage your skin gently. Wash your face with clear water after a minute or two and pat your face dry using a cotton towel.
  1. Get Clarifying Now
    You don't have to exfoliate every day, just do it twice a week. Include it in your detox routine, and you're going to keep those annoying blackheads at bay. A gentle exfoliator can make your skin more vibrant by giving it a smooth and radiant look.
  1. Soothe those bags
    Indulge in a good under eye cream as the skin around your eyes is very thin and fragile. After washing your face, dab a little of the cream with your ring finger under your eyes and over your brow bone, and you're good to go! We believe eye cream is an underappreciated beauty item that deserves more credit.
  1. Don't Forget About Moisturize 
    Every skin type needs a good moisturizer. The right moisturizer will help give you a radiant glow, act as protective layer and will prevent your skin from drying out. Apply a coin size of moisturizer cream on your face after washing it and your skin will look luminous and happier.
  1. Sunday Pamper
    Slap on a sheet mask that’s soaked in rich nutrient solution those lazy Sunday mornings. Give your skin the extra TLC that it honestly craves. There are a variety of sheet masks in the market in all shapes, sizes, and cute packing that is budget-friendly. Voila, say hello to flawless hydrated skin texture in no time at all!!
  1. Sun Protection For Victory 

    The last step in your skincare routine is to use sunscreen. If you're not even using one, you need to be conscious of the consequences. Sun exposure can cause wrinkles, dark spots, fine lines, and skin cancer. Therefore, before you leave your home, apply a generous amount of sunscreen (your skin will thank you later).

    I realize there are a lot of steps to the skincare routine, but it just takes only 15 minutes in the morning and absolutely worth it!
